Responsibilities included creating and monitoring budgets; daily oversight of editorial and production departments, including assigning and editing articles and graphics; annual employee evaluations; daily contact with clients, typesetters and press.

Oversaw all operations pertaining to editorial and production of seven Northern Virginia community weekly newspapers ranging in size from 40-120 pages. Managed 22-person staff of editors, reporters and photographers, hiring, counseling, performance evaluations; direct editing and design of two of the newspapers.
